8. Payment Authorisation and Capture (Debit/Credit Cards via PayPal)

When you place an order using Debit/Credit Card (processed via PayPal), we may authorise your payment method at checkout. An authorisation reserves the order amount but does not charge your card immediately.

We will capture (charge) the authorised amount only after we have secured your coffee from our partner roaster(s) and your order is ready to be dispatched. This is typically within a short period after ordering.

If we are unable to secure the product(s) or fulfil your order, we will not capture the funds and the authorisation will be released by your bank/payment provider (timing varies by provider).

8.1 Order confirmation and fulfilment timing

Your checkout submission is treated as an order request. Your order is confirmed when we have secured the coffee and the payment is captured, after which we will prepare and dispatch your parcel.

8.2 Authorisation expiry / re-authorisation

Payment authorisations are time-limited. If an authorisation expires before we capture it, we may ask you to re-authorise payment or place the order again. We are not responsible for authorisation releases, holds, or timing set by your bank/payment provider.

8.3 Pricing and amount captured

We will capture the total shown at checkout, including shipping (and any discounts applied). We will not increase the captured amount without your agreement.

8.4 Cancellations (before capture)

You may request cancellation before payment is captured. If approved, we will cancel processing and no charge will be captured (any authorisation hold will be released by your bank/payment provider).

8.5 Out-of-stock and substitutions

If a product becomes unavailable before capture, we will contact you with options (replacement, wait, or cancellation). We will only substitute with your explicit consent.

8.6 International shipping, duties, and taxes

International orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs fees in your destination country. These charges are the customer’s responsibility unless stated otherwise.

8.7 Returns and refunds (after capture)

If payment has been captured and a refund is approved, refunds are processed back to the original payment method. Banks/payment providers may take additional time to reflect the refund.
